Selected items portlet

You will require this information when you would like to use the 'Selected items portlet'

Instructions

1. Navigate to the content that you would like to add the content to (ensure that you are logged in with the appropriate permissions).
2. Click on your name in the top right of the edit bar to access the drop-down menu
   
3. Select 'Manage portlets' from the drop-down menu
4. Use the 'Add portlet' drop-down menu to select 'Selected items'. Use the Primary or secondary portlet, depending on the content type that you are adding the portlet too, and the display of the content.
   
5. Once you have selected the portlet, you will be taken to the edit form with the following fields:
   
   
   1. 'Content' tab:
      1. 'Title'
         1. This is a title that will be located above the content that is in the portlet
      2. 'Items'
         1. Use this free text search field to locate the items that you would like to display in the portlet. 
      3.  'Fields'
         1. Use this selection widget to define which fields related to the content you would like to show on the tile. You have full control over this as you are able to add multiple items of different content types to the portlet.
      1. 'Show Lead images'
         1. Check the box if you would like to show the lead images for the items of content if they are available.
      2. 'Lead images position'
         1. Use the dropdown menu to select the option that best suits how you would like to display the images with the content.
      3. 'Lead image ratio'
         1. Use the dropdown menu to select the option that best suits how you would like to display the images.
   2. 'Button' tab:
      1. 'Show more... link'
         1. Please enter an internal or external link. The external link should be a fully formed URL including 'https'.
      2. Open external link in new tab?

         1. If checked, the external link button will open in a new tab.

      3. 'Show more... link text'
         
         1. This is the text that will appear on the button. If you do not provide text, the default text will be shown 'Find out more'.
      4. 'Button alignment'
         1. This defines where on the portlet the button will be located
      5. 'Button type'
         1. This defines what kind of button you want to show.
   3. 'Style' tab:
      1. 'Box Border'

         1. This feature allows the user to deploy a border of their choice on either or both sides of the portlet.

      2. 'Box type'

         1. This feature allows the user to deploy a highlighted background to the portlet.

   4. 'Advanced'
      1. 'Show only for sub-items'
         1. Check this box if you would like to add the portlet at a section level, and define that it shows only on all the items in the section, rather than on the section as well.
6. Once you have finished the configuration of the tile, do not forget to save the form at the bottom of the page.
