8.12 How to create a Prescribing Question (Item)

  • Click Items from the top menu bar

  • Click + Create new Item

  • From the drop down list select Prescribing Question

  • Using the free text box enter a title for your Item

  • You can edit the Case Number manually using the free text box or arrow buttons, otherwise the system will automatically populate this field. This field cannot be changed later.

  • Click Create Item

 

 

 

 

  • [Optional] Click in the box for Question Author(s) to identify who the author(s) of the Item is. If left blank then the current logged in user (you) will be identified as the Question Author.

  • In the text editor provided, enter the content (question rubric) for your Item.

  • [Optional] Using the free text box provided, add any comments as required. These will not be visible to candidates.

  • [Optional] Using the free text box provided, add any notes as required. These can be made visible to candidates in their candidate feedback report.

  • Using the arrows or free text box identify the Levenshtein Threshold

  • [Optional] Using the arrows or free text box, identify the Angoff Value

  • [Optional] Using the drop down menu, select the Difficulty of the Item

  • [Optional] Using the drop down menu, select the Relevance of the Item

  • Click + Add new response

  • Using the free text box enter the Medication name

  • Using the free text box enter the Dose value

  • Using the dropdown menu identify the unit of measurement for the Dose

  • Using the dropdown menu identify the Route of application

  • Using the dropdown menu identify the Frequency of administration

  • Optionally you can add another medication in parallel by filling in the information for the added boxes

  • Click + Add new response and repeat the above steps until all possible correct responses have been created

  • Click Save Item.

Prescribing Questions are supported in English only.
