8.11 Image Synchronisation

For Remote OSCE Exams users are now able to see in real time what another user is viewing and pointing at on the Resource viewer on their device when Image Synchronisation is enabled in the Exam Settings. This is particularly useful for Examiners to be able to view what the candidate is discussing during an Exam.

When using the Resource Viewer and Image Synchronisation is enabled the Broadcast Changes Icon Square is visible. Broadcast Changes has three modes (icons) possible:

View Mode

When in View Mode the user will view what the connected user is doing to the Resource.

This is the default mode for Examiners/Observers

When in View Mode the other functions of the Resource Viewer will be unavailable

Broadcast Mode

When in Broadcast mode the user is broadcasting their actions on the resource to the connected user.

  • With an Image resource, users can: pan, zoom, rotate, and reset.

  • With a DICOM resource, users can: select from various modalities and create measurement lines, ellipses, and rectangles.

This is the default mode for Candidates

Hide Mode (Applicable to Examiners only)

When in Hide Mode the user is hiding their actions on the Resource from the connected user.
