We are excited to share the latest updates to our iPad app. This release focuses on refining the user interface, improving system stability, and ensuring a smoother experience for examiners and candidates alike.

Improvements

  • Shared Resource Management: You now have the flexibility to hide resources previously shared with a candidate, giving you better control over the materials visible during an assessment.

  • Visual Consistency: We have updated the interface to ensure a more cohesive look and feel. This includes the removal of certain "liquid glass" design elements to better align with our core professional styling.

  • Clearer System Alerts: We’ve overhauled our startup and configuration messages. If the app requires a configuration update or a certificate renewal, you will now see shorter, more actionable instructions to help you get back to work quickly.

Fixes

  • Enhanced Stability: We have completely rewritten our networking code and optimized memory management. These "under the hood" changes significantly reduce the risk of crashes and improve general performance.

  • Real-time Marks Sheet Updates: Marks sheets will now automatically refresh when a marshal-controlled round begins. This ensures examiners can start marking immediately without manual intervention.

  • Smart Connectivity Retries: To better handle spotty internet, the app will now automatically retry sending messages that failed due to temporary network issues. This ensures your status remains accurate even if your connection flickers.

  • Improved Keyboard Navigation: We’ve fixed a "jumping" focus issue on the marks sheet. If you are using an external keyboard, the criteria list will now remain stable as you navigate, providing a much smoother input experience.

  • Dynamic Camera Permissions: The app now verifies camera permissions at the moment of use rather than just during the initial enrollment, ensuring your hardware is always ready when needed.

Notes: If you are prompted to regenerate a client certificate or re-enroll your device, please follow the on-screen instructions and restart the app to continue.

If you do not wish to automatically update to the latest release, ensure the option to “auto-update” has been turned off.
