New Features

Examiner feedback report

Improved Examiner feedback reporting for OSCE, which can be configured based on the needs of the organisation similar to the Candidate feedback report. The new report provides a detailed analysis of examiner performance, identifying "hawkish" or "dovish" marking tendencies by comparing an individual examiner's marks against the overall examiner cohort. This valuable insight allows exam administrators to enhance examiner training and calibration, ultimately improving the consistency and reliability of examinations.

The reports can be distributed by email to individual examiners, streamlining the feedback process and helping institutions meet the CPSA standards set by the GMC. This feature allows organisations to easily demonstrate how they are delivering and monitoring the impact of this crucial feedback.

Clone Item set

The ability to clone item sets was a popular customer feature suggestion and this functionality is now available in risr/assess. For details refer to the risr/ knowledge base.

Integration support for Talview Live proctoring

risr/assess 8.17 is integrated with Proview, providing customers with new options for both Live Proctoring and Record and Review.

Improvements

  • The admin user can no longer be removed

  • The View logins page contains the “Start changed session” button. When clicked the information about starting the changed session is presented. This mirrors the behaviour from the main Dashboard. 

Fixes

  • Generate results on a risr/advance mapping form page appears only after the mapping is saved.

  • It is no longer possible to disable the "admin" user from the backend.

  • Fixed and updated wording of warnings and errors displayed on the Item set detail page

  • Fixed incorrect layout of item summary when tables were added as part of the summary

  • QTI import button removed.

  • Allow item sets in pending state to be rejected.

  • Fixed progress of Proctoring candidate schedule. The Lock candidates operation was not reporting progress of scheduling.

  • Checking for the same examiner being assigned twice in the same circuit caused an error when setting up empty circuits. Empty examiner slots will now be ignored when doing "same examiner" validation.

Bug fixes

  • Button to change the number of rooms in an OSCE circuit is no longer available when an exam has been started.

  • Fixed the item set solver to ensure that it works well with items tagged with nested categories

REST API changes

  • API for examiner allocation, now accepts both pin or password for the backward compatibility now.

Improvements

  • When an exam is finalized, the exam results and all reports defined in the exam Reports section will be updated with the latest results to ensure that the correct data is stored with the finalised exam.

Improvements

  • Introduced the facility to set a default intercept for McManus Borderline regression

Bug fixes

  • A dimension applicable to resources as well as items but not allocated to a blueprint map caused an issue when a resource tagged with that dimension was added to item. Dimensions not assigned to a map will be ignored when the item is automatically tagged.

  • Fixed SAQ item score import - the scores for SAQ items were not imported

  • Fixed the thumbnail for an Audio or Video file for MS Word item preview

  • Enforce new user creation restrictions to only allow Administrator with "grant all permissions" to grant the same level of permission to other users

  • Intersect report - report failed when generated without rooms in exam. Fixed to ensure that a number is always returned.

  • Fixed AI Item set generator - it threw an error if no items were generated due to invalid "progress".

  • Fixed error when AI generator was used with a mark-based exam blueprint

REST API changes

  • Added a webhook when CFR generator finishes

  • Fixed missing required_token attribute in some of the API classes, added a test to avoid the similar issue in the future.

  • Added Item set number and Item set version to the Exam data

  • Fixed the missing function call causing unhandled error for the McManus borderline intercept feature

  • The Resource detail view page did not display the full path to the category leaf if it was a nested levels category. Tags now display: Dimension > Category > Sub-category

  • Batch functions "start a new version", "Delete draft items" were available to users that do not have permission to edit items. Batch functions have now been restricted to users with "edit item" permissions. An error message is displayed on the select batch functions page for users without appropriate permissions.

  • Fixed an issue that an Item set warning message not indicating archived item in the item set if the item was version 1.

  • Updated the ExamListView REST API documentation to include start_date_before and start_date_after
