New Features

Create exams in risr/assess automatically from risr/apply

Create written exams automatically based on your exam blueprints. Once candidates have completed their application in risr/apply, you can auto-create a new exam based on your existing exam blueprint and schedule them into sessions or you can place them into an existing exam of your choice.

Create on-demand tests and practice exams automatically from risr/apply

Offer the ability for candidates to book onto and take an individual exam immediately. An exam is automatically created in risr/assess based on your exam blueprint and the candidates are then directed to risr/assess to sit their test or exam, and delivered their results automatically once completed.

MAA item scoring

  • In addition to the existing scoring method of Partial credit, 2 new scoring methods are now available; All-or-nothing, Any-correct. Details regarding all the MAA scoring methods can be found in the risr/assess knowledge base.

Improvements

AI Item Generator Improvements

  • The AI item generator, which is currently available through risr/labs, now facilitates style guides, meaning that you can choose how you wish your items to be styled, feed it into the item generator and all questions generated will adhere to your guide. More details can be found in the risr/assess knowledge base.

    • The AI item generator will conduct a compliance check with your submitted style guide.

    • You can submit the source document as a PDF when creating the items

    • You can create vignettes

Filtering component improvements

  • Improvements to the Search and Filter functions have been made to enhance finding items according to blueprint tagging.

  • Performance improvements for restricted users and of the filtering

Other improvements

  • If you do not need the marshal role, it can now be set to optional

  • Number of downloads can be set on the exam blueprint or on the exam settings.

  • DHR-6265 DK-4012 Reverted the "Optimised prepare_examinations so it's much faster for large exams" because there is some issue causing items added to exam in a wrong order. The fix will be part of another release

  • Aligned "Delete recordings" button visibility with backend permission checks for deleting recordings and refreshing recording statistics.

  • Users with permission to Create item set are permitted to do so using batch operation

  • Itemset solver fixes -Ensure that target values as well as upper and lower bounds work correctly when using blueprint constraints to create item sets.

  • The blueprint constraint warnings are checked against lower bounds, upper bounds and targets instead of just targets.

  • Force update results before reports to enforce current data.

  • New Labs feature for prioritising selected sessions in the queue. OSCE exams are prioritised automatically as soon as the session is started. Contact your risr/ team if you wish to test this feature.

  • Fix page jumping when changing selection values in the dropdown component.

  • Fixed permission check for View recordings page. Only users with the “Settings - Manage risr/assess” permission are able to delete recordings.

  • Performance improvement in component that prepares examinations.

  • Download itemset is now using a marksheet section title, which is human readable representation of a section, instead of the previous slugified text.

  • Fixed issue where constraint groups on the exam blueprint showed zero available items ina child category, if the parent had a constraint on the blueprint.

  • Prevent automatic the resetting of the prefilter on exam blueprint constraint when viewing pre-filters rather than applying constraints

  • Fixed the back link from the Compare variants/languages page.

  • Fixed 'Exam Timing' row displaying twice on the exam details page.

Improvements (Will be disabled by default, please talk to your risr/ team to enable these)

  • Added 'Reply-To' email field which allows administrators to configure a specific email address that will be used in the 'Reply-To' header of system-generated emails.

  • Improved information on background tasks and auto-updates prior to producing reports

  • Added ability to set default for section randomization in item sets. If enabled, a new setting is available on the exam blueprint where users can set whether the default setting for item set sections should be randomised or not.

REST API

  • Improved REST API documentation for items/ and blueprints/dimensions/

  • Added only_fields and exclude_fields to facilitate requests for reduced data set and updated the swagger documentation for them

Bug fixes

  • Prevent two different markers submit marks for the same candidate (double marking) at the same time. That could cause the final mark not resolved correctly.

  • Fixed issue whereby user name containing an apostrophe caused an error

  • Added missing Answer order settings field back to the blueprint exam settings form.
